Vulnerability

Vulnerability is challenging. Many times we numb the thought of opening up to the most trusted friends and family in our life. Keep in mind when you decide to show up with vulnerability (whatever the outcome may be…)- you are gathering more strength to be yourself. You give people your truest side-(which many times surprises ourselves just as much)! Lean into the discomfort of being vulnerable. Let yourself be authentic.

When you have boundaries with your vulnerability, I think many times people are afraid to lose the person with whom they have to have a boundary. Guess what? Whatever your reason is with having a boundary, will be successful, regardless if it\’s not the outcome you hope. Is there a chance the success will break your heart? Possibly. There is always that looming fear and possible outcome. But, you\’re a strong person right? Remind yourself of your strength, before-during-after the conversation. When you walk away from the truth…hold your head high. Remember you just became a new version of yourself. If the boundaries were too much for that person, respect it and walk away. Take a few days(be sure to pick an end date!) to have heartbreak: cry, yell, call in sick. You are entitled. As the \’Day of Fresh Starts\’ begins, pat yourself on the back, thank yourself for being brave, and watch you conquer the next quest to be who you truly want to be.
