Trust is a fragile piece of our relationship with those in our life. It is truly the best thing to build a solid foundation between individuals: conversations, freedom to be one\’s self, and non-judgment(THAT\’S the challenge for a lot of people- they feel being honest will cause someone to judge them, don\’t worry, you are not alone). We build our trust with people everywhere; beginning as a newborn baby- trusting our parents provide us with care that is reliable to simple things as an adult- like ordering coffee in the morning(we trust the right order will be made correctly).
Think of the amount of trust you give to coworkers, loved ones, and even your children each day. Small things need trust. This week, work on the asking the question- \”WHY DO I TRUST *name*?\” Or perhaps a more definate question is, \”DO I trust *name*?\” Do you have reason to be hesitant, does that person even deserve your solid relationship and reliability? Reflect on your own struggles- maybe it has nothing to do with OTHER people and it\’s more of an internal struggle of yours. P.S. there is nothing wrong with that- just be aware of what triggers your insecurity. Journal all your answers. Why do you hesitate with trusting people in your life? Don\’t pass self-judgement, positive self-talk will help~ and the answers might even surprise you!
